News and Events
435 CMP is hosting their annual Mini-Palma competition on Saturday, February 21. All are welcome to participate. Squadding will start at 10am and shooting to begin around 11am. This event is held snow or shine, so be sure to dress for the weather!
LOCATION: The 200 yard range of Veterans & Outdoors Gun Club.
RIFLES: Any 22 caliber or smaller smallbore rifle.
CLASSES: Iron site, optical site, F-class and Benchrest.
Who We Are
The Veterans & Outdoors Gun Club has been established to provide social and recreational activities for its members, to conduct programs for educational purposes, and to promote the social welfare of the community. The Gun Club shall promote an interest in shooting sports of all kinds, provide fellowship through mutual interest, and encourage good sportsmanship among members.
The Veteran’s and Outdoors Gun Club is a private club and is a chartered organization of the Richfield American Legion Post 435 and the Cannon River Outdoors Club. The Gun Club was founded in 1961 to provide a place for members to practice their shooting hobbies. Our facilities are open year round to club members and their guests.

Directions from the North: Interstate 35 south to exit 76, County Road 2/Elko New Market. Turn left (east) onto County Road 2, go 0.8 miles. At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit (south) onto Pillsbury Ave, go 1.7 miles. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit (south) onto Hazelwood Ave, go 1.5 miles . Turn right (west) onto 45th St W, go 0.4 miles. Your next and last turn will be a right (north) down the Gun Club driveway. Look for the club sign. If you cross over Interstate 35 you missed it.
Direction form the South: Interstate 35 north to exit 69, Hwy 19/New Prague/Northfield. At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit (north) onto 46/Hazelwood Ave. Continue to follow Hazelwood Ave for 3.6 miles. Turn left (west) onto 45th St W, go 0.4 mile. Your next and last turn will be a right (north) down the Gun Club driveway. Look for the club sign. If you cross over Interstate 35 you missed it.
